FROM MY WORLD

3 Questions to Ask Before Buying Another Online Program

So, let me take you back to the time when I found myself sitting through a movie I hated just 20 minutes in.

The flick? Fantastic Four. The one before the Jessica Alba version. It was awful. But guess what? Even though I knew it sucked, I stayed till the end. Why? I paid for the ticket.

Now, logically, I should’ve walked out, right?

I wasn’t getting my money back either way. But no—my brain didn’t care. I stayed because I’d already invested in the experience.

That’s when I realized there’s a deeper force at play here—a psychological behavior pattern called loss aversion. And it doesn’t just keep you stuck in bad movies. It’s a powerful driver behind the dreaded “Shiny Object Syndrome”.

You know what I’m talking about—the endless loop of jumping from one money-making opportunity to another, never sticking to anything long enough to see real results.

It’s not just that the gurus are evil or that the products don’t work. The real issue is that, once you’re invested, your mind refuses to let go. You think, “I’ve already put so much into this. Maybe the next program will finally pay off.”

Sounds familiar?

Loss aversion is why people keep buying new programs even when they haven’t gotten results with the old ones. It’s why, instead of cutting your losses, you keep spending more, hoping to recoup what you’ve already thrown away.

I’ve spoken to so many clients who are part of not one, not two, but three different opportunities—none of which they’re making money with! And yet, they keep signing up for the next one.

It’s like a gambler in a casino, convinced that one more spin will turn everything around.

But here’s the thing: It’s not perseverance. It’s a trap.

One of my clients, a truck driver, kept jumping from one opportunity to the next, convinced each one would work. Finally, he joined my program, but the next day he called back, devastated.

“I need a refund. My wife left me—this was the last straw.”

I refunded him, but it wasn’t my program that ruined his marriage. It was his addiction to chasing shiny objects.

And it’s not just him. I’ve seen marriages crumble, life savings disappear, and dreams shattered—all because people refuse to recognize when they’re caught in this trap.

The truth is, the shiny object syndrome has little to do with the opportunities themselves.

It’s about you. Why are you investing? Are you genuinely believing that this new program is different? Or are you just chasing your losses, hoping to “make back” what you’ve already spent?

That’s why I urge you to ask yourself these three questions before diving into the next big thing:

  1. Am I still chasing my initial loss?

  2. Do I believe I’m equipped to succeed with this program?

  3. Is this really different from what I’ve tried before?

If the answer to any of those is “No,” then stop right there.

Because chances are, it’s not the opportunity that needs to change. It’s you. If you’re still making the same decisions, don’t expect different results. Take a step back, become self-aware, and break the cycle.

And if you find yourself stuck, write it out—like a third person. Describe your actions as if you’re a narrator looking from the outside: “John bought another coaching program even though he hasn’t made money with the previous three.”

Doing this will help you see your behavior for what it really is—a pattern you need to break.

Because, trust me, no new program will save you if you don’t change the driver behind your decisions.

So, the next time you find yourself reaching for that credit card to buy one more shiny thing, take a deep breath, step back, and ask yourself: Is this just me chasing a bad movie to the bitter end?

MINDSET MAKEOVER

Are You Missing This Key Element That Makes You Instantly Magnetic?

People often think that being magnetic means being the loudest person in the room, the one who always has the spotlight or knows how to charm others instantly. But that’s a shallow understanding of what truly makes a personality magnetic.

Real magnetism doesn’t come from being over-the-top or putting on a show.

It comes from being real and comfortable in your own skin

When you’re genuine, when you show up as you, something powerful happens—people notice. They lean in. They want to know more. They’re drawn to you almost instinctively.

But here’s the thing: most people struggle with this because they think they have to act like someone they’re not to be successful. They’re stuck in the “fake it till you make it” mindset.

They think they need to put on a mask, say all the right things, and come across as some polished, perfect version of themselves. And that’s where they go wrong.

When you try to be someone else, you’re not creating a magnetic personality. You’re just putting up a facade, and it’s exhausting.

I remember when I first got into the online business world, I thought I had to copy what all the big names were doing. I would mimic their style, their words, even their mannerisms, thinking that if I could just be like them, I’d achieve their level of success.

But it didn’t work.

I felt out of place, awkward, and it showed. People sensed it. And instead of being drawn to me, they were put off. That’s when I realized I had to drop the act and just be myself.

What I found was that the real power lies in owning who you are—flaws and all. You see, people don’t connect with perfection.

They connect with authenticity

They’re looking for someone who’s real, someone who’s gone through struggles and isn’t afraid to show it. When you show up genuinely, when you talk openly about your journey, your failures, and your little victories, it resonates. People see a reflection of their own story in yours, and that’s when the magic happens.

The other piece to this is confidence.

I’m not talking about arrogance or pretending to be superhuman. I mean the kind of quiet, unshakable confidence that comes from being okay with who you are and where you are right now.

When you speak, people can sense whether you believe in your own words. They can tell if you’re sure of yourself or if there’s hesitation behind your message. And it’s that belief in yourself that makes all the difference. It’s what turns a casual listener into a loyal follower.

Building this kind of confidence isn’t an overnight thing.

It’s like a muscle you have to work on every day.

For me, it started with reading—lots of it.

I remember picking up classics like “Think and Grow Rich” and “How to Win Friends and Influence People”, and suddenly, I felt a shift.

The more I immersed myself in those stories of struggle and success, the more I realized that if all these regular people could rise above their circumstances, then so could I.

The knowledge from those books seeped into my daily actions. I started to approach conversations differently. I stopped trying to impress and focused on connecting.

I’d share my own experiences, the mistakes I made, and what I learned from them. It felt uncomfortable at first, almost like walking around without a shield.

But the more I did it, the more I noticed something surprising: people were leaning in. They started responding with their own stories. They weren’t just listening—they were engaging. That’s when I knew I was onto something.

It’s funny because, when you stop worrying about being liked and start focusing on being real, people automatically like you more. They feel they can trust you because there’s no act, no mask—just you.

And trust is the foundation of any great relationship, whether it’s business or personal.

So, if you want to develop a magnetic personality, start by embracing your true self.

Stop pretending to be what you think others want. Instead, lean into who you really are.

Share your journey—your highs and your lows. Speak with conviction, even if you don’t have all the answers yet. When you do this, people will naturally gravitate toward you, not because of what you have, but because of who you are

That’s where the real magnetism comes from.
