FROM MY WORLD
Confessions from the Secret Skype Society
You won’t believe this, but back in the day—before marketplaces, before Udemy, and WAY before TikTok dances—there was a secret underground club on Skype.
Yeah, Skype. That clunky app we all abandoned after Zoom came along.
But in 2010, this was where the magic happened.
Picture this: A virtual smoky room (minus the cigars), filled with people who controlled email lists the size of small countries.
These were list owners, and they had power. Big lists. Big money. And big secrets about how to use email to print cash on demand.
I got in because my mentor had connections.
And what they taught me? Something that nobody else was doing at the time.
It was called an email drop.
The idea was simple: You pay a list owner to send an email promoting your offer to their list.
But here’s the twist…
They didn’t just promise to send the email. They guaranteed clicks.
No clicks? No pay.
It was the closest thing to a risk-free ad deal you could get.
And the beauty of it? Their emails went out under their own name.
That meant instant trust with their audience.
So while everyone else was busy burning cash on Facebook ads and trying to figure out Google’s mysterious algorithms, I was quietly raking in leads for pennies.
But here’s the kicker…
These deals were happening behind closed doors. No public marketplace. No fancy platforms. Just private arrangements inside that Skype group.
Of course, times have changed.
Today, you don’t need secret invites or shady backchannels.
You can hop onto sites like Udimi (not to be confused with Udemy, the course site) and buy email drops in minutes.
But even though the process is easier now, most people still miss the boat on this strategy.
Why?
Because they’re too focused on being fancy marketers instead of cash-generating machines.
If you’re serious about growing your list—and I mean serious—stop wasting time on complicated ad funnels.
Go old-school. Find a list owner. And buy your way into their audience’s inbox.
It worked for me when I was a broke newbie. It’ll work for you now.

MINDSET MAKEOVER
The Wolf, The Goat, and The Lie You Were Told About Money
Let me tell you a story about a wolf, some goats, and a bear…
This past weekend, my son had a school play. He played the wolf.
The plot? Classic fairy-tale fluff.
Mama Goat leaves her baby goats home alone. Wolf sneaks in, kidnaps them, and heads off to enjoy his feast.
But here’s the twist… In the play, the wolf apologizes. The bear confronts him and says, “Bad wolf! Return the goats or else!”
And the wolf—being the spineless sap this story made him out to be—says, “I’m sorry, I was just lonely,” and gives the goats back.
What?! That’s not how wolves work!
In the real world, the wolf eats the goats. And if the bear tries to stop him? The wolf fights back—or gets eaten too.
So what’s the point?
The point is, most of us grow up watching these kinds of stories—and we believe them.
We get programmed to think the world should work like that. That people who take what they want are bad. That making money easily is wrong. And that struggling and “working hard” somehow makes us noble.
Sound familiar?
Maybe you grew up hearing:
“Money doesn’t grow on trees.”
“Rich people are greedy.”
“You have to work hard to earn your keep.”
And so you work. You hustle. You grind. But the money? It barely trickles in. Meanwhile, you see other people getting rich without breaking their backs. And it pisses you off.
Why?
Because deep down, you believe they’re the wolf—and you’re supposed to be the goat.
That’s the real programming problem.
You’ve been trained to believe that having money, especially easy money, is bad. I had to rip that programming out of my head before I could ever make real money.
And if you’re struggling right now, there’s a good chance you need to do the same.
Start here: Read a book called “The Trick to Money is Having Some” by Stuart Wilde.
It’ll open your eyes to the emotional garbage you’re carrying about money—and why you’re stuck working like a dog for scraps.
Or worse, apologizing when you try to do better. Don’t be the goat. Don’t be the wolf that says sorry.
Be the bear. Take what’s yours—and don’t look back.
