FROM MY WORLD

Doors, Windows, and Chimneys – The Hidden Blueprint to Wealth

Let me take you back to when I was just getting started—those early days of chasing e-farming checks and building up my affiliate business.

I was pulling in a couple thousand dollars a month, but then something shifted.

I got the itch. You know, the one where you look at what everyone else is doing, and you think, "Wait a second… if they can create products, why can’t I?"

For me, it wasn’t just ambition—it was personal. My dad had this wonderful habit of doubting me, which meant proving people wrong became a part of my DNA.

So, I rolled up my sleeves and created my very first product: a simple eBook. Price? Just a buck.

And people bought it.

Not droves of people, but enough to make me realize I’d been undervaluing it. So, I bumped the price to $5. Then $10. Eventually, $37.

But here’s where it gets interesting.

I’d built a small buyer’s list—maybe 200 people. Tiny, right? But I promoted a friend’s $997 product to that list and made 30 sales.

That’s when the penny dropped: most affiliates don’t even crack 10 sales, but there I was, outselling folks with way bigger lists.

What did that mean? Leverage.

Because my buddy—a much bigger player—returned the favor and promoted my product to his list. And just like that, I had 60 new buyers in two days. For free. Without risking a dime.

Here’s what I learned: having your own product is like opening a secret door in the world of online business.

Suddenly, you’re not just a cog in someone else’s machine. You’ve got options. You can set the price, tweak the offer, build a recurring revenue stream, and—most importantly—take control.

Affiliate marketing is great. It’s still a huge part of what I do. But owning assets? That’s where the real magic happens.

It turns your one little door into a mansion of opportunities: windows, chimneys, trapdoors—you name it.

If you’re still grinding as an affiliate, think about what you’re leaving on the table.

Imagine waking up every morning knowing your business is working for you. That’s the kind of peace of mind that lets you sleep at night—and keeps the money rolling in.

MINDSET MAKEOVER

Focus Beats Hustle Every Time

If you’re anything like I was when I started, you’ve probably dabbled in a bit of everything.

SEO courses, dropshipping, webinars, some affiliate marketing sprinkled in—sound familiar? Back then, I thought the key to success was finding the right shiny object. But here’s the truth no one told me: success doesn’t come from chasing shiny objects. It comes from obsession.

Let me explain.

Early on, I didn’t know what would work, so I tried it all. One moment, I was learning SEO. The next, I was sinking money into a traffic strategy that sounded like “the secret” to wealth. And the more I jumped around, the further I got from real progress.

Why? Because I didn’t focus on one thing long enough to get results.

That changed when I discovered list building.

It was like a switch flipped in my brain. I tuned out the noise of the next big thing, narrowed my vision, and went all in on building my list. And guess what?

The results were immediate. It wasn’t because list building is magical (though it’s pretty close); it was because I stopped splitting my focus.

Focus is the real secret weapon.

Here’s the thing: most people think multitasking is a superpower. It’s not. It’s a trap.

Whether you’re trying to build five businesses at once or tackle ten things on your to-do list, splitting your attention only delays results. Greatness comes from giving one thing your uninterrupted, intense focus.

Want proof?

Look at anyone who’s risen to the top of their game. Slash from Guns N’ Roses didn’t become a guitar god by dabbling in drumming, singing, and piano on the side. He obsessed over the guitar. Wherever he went, it went. He played every spare moment he had. That’s what obsession looks like—and it’s why he’s a legend.

For me, this mindset shift didn’t just change my business; it changed my life.

When I committed to mastering copywriting, I didn’t just dabble—I immersed myself. I read every book, practiced every day, and rewrote until my fingers ached. Once I nailed copywriting, I moved to list building with the same single-minded dedication.

One thing at a time. And that sequence? That’s how you win.

Today, I see this struggle everywhere.

My kids can’t sit through a single activity without reaching for a screen. And adults? We’re no better. Notifications, emails, endless scrolling—we’ve become addicted to distraction. But here’s the good news: focus isn’t just a skill; it’s a muscle. And like any muscle, it gets stronger with use.

The next time you feel tempted to chase something new, ask yourself: have I given my current goal the obsession it deserves?

Because when you commit to one thing with full intensity, everything else will fall into place.

5-Minute Authority With Steven Washer

Policemen are not good salesmen. This phrase perfectly sums up the issue of authority in marketing. Contrary to popular belief – authority is not coercion. It’s not high-pressure sales tactics. It’s not about demanding your client to shut off their Facebook when they watch your videos. No, It’s about safety, comfort and empathy. It’s about subtly creating an aura of “okainess” for your potential clients where taking action is the next logical step.

Steven Washer, the authority on authority, explains how it’s done! Listen in.
