FROM MY WORLD
How “Being Igor” Turned Out To Be My Secret Weapon
Let me tell you a secret. For a long time, I was a little self-conscious about my name. I mean, think about it—Igor.
It’s not exactly "John" or "James." It’s a Ukrainian-slash-Russian name, maybe with a touch of Bulgarian flair if you want to get fancy. But in the West? Not a lot of Igors walking around.
At first, I thought, Would people take me seriously? Would they buy from a guy named Igor? I worried my name might hurt my sales, that it made me seem...well, different.
Turns out, different was the best thing I could be.
You see, when people in the industry hear "Igor," there’s no confusion. They’re talking about me. Just one Igor in the room. That made me stand out without even trying.
No need for fancy logos or gimmicky branding strategies. My name—and, more importantly, my story—became my superpower.
And that’s the thing about personal branding: it’s not about being flashy or reinventing the wheel. It’s about showing up as you.
Even if that means being "Joe the Plumber" because your high school friends couldn’t stop roasting you for your sagging jeans. (Yup, that plumber crack.)
But here’s the part most people miss: Your story isn’t just a one-time deal. If you want to build a brand that sticks, you need to tell that story over, and over, and over again.
Feel like a broken record? Good.
Think of the Batman franchise. How many times have we seen Bruce Wayne’s origin story? His parents get mugged, they’re tragically shot, and Bruce swears to scare the hell out of criminals by dressing up as a bat. You know this story, and yet every movie still takes us back to that alleyway.
Why? Because without the origin story, Batman’s whole deal doesn’t make sense. The costume, the bat symbol, the vigilante justice—it all ties back to the moment that defined him.
Your personal brand works the same way. Your story is your bat signal. It’s what gives your brand meaning and makes people remember you. So if you’re diving into personal branding, remember this:
Find your story. Then tell it. And keep telling it until you’re sick of hearing yourself talk.
Because when you own your story, even "Igor" becomes unforgettable.

MINDSET MAKEOVER
The Employee Trap
Imagine two people starting out with the same tools, the same knowledge, and the same opportunities.
Fast forward a year, and one is thriving as an entrepreneur, while the other is stuck in the same place, chasing someone else’s dream.
What’s the difference?
It’s not talent. It’s not resources. It’s mindset.
Entrepreneurs don’t just do things differently—they think differently. They’ve broken free from the programming most of us grow up with: go to school, get good grades, find a stable job, and work for someone else.
That system wasn’t built to create entrepreneurs. It was built to create employees.
To succeed as an entrepreneur, you need to reprogram how you think. This transformation happens in four stages:
Self
Success starts with you. Your habits, thoughts, and decision-making must evolve. It's not about waiting to be “ready.” You build confidence by taking action and figuring things out along the way.Catapult
Momentum is key. The hardest part is getting started, but once you gain traction, things begin to flow. Focus on small wins that build into bigger results over time.Authority
Entrepreneurs take ownership. Whether it’s inspiring others or leading with confidence, success comes when you step into the role of a leader. This isn’t about being extroverted—it’s about believing in your vision and guiding others to see it too.People
Relationships matter. Successful entrepreneurs understand how to connect with others on a deep level. They adapt their approach, turn challenges into opportunities, and build strong networks that support their growth.
Success isn’t just about having the right tools or strategies—it’s about how you think and act. The good news? Anyone can shift their mindset to achieve it.
The question is: are you ready to rewrite the way you think and take control of your future?
