FROM MY WORLD

It’s You

Here’s the thing: Your customers don’t buy from you because of your product or your price. They buy because of you.

People make purchasing decisions based on two factors: how much they like you and how much they trust you. If you fail to create that connection, they’ll move on faster than you can say, “but wait, there’s more.” Worse yet, if no one else earns their trust either, they’ll just go with whoever’s sitting at the top of Google.

And here’s where most people mess up: They try to be liked by everyone. They hide their flaws. They play it safe. They try to be vanilla—inoffensive, agreeable, and forgettable. But here’s the kicker: Vanilla doesn’t sell. Realness does.

Let me tell you about someone I know: David. He’s not your typical success story. In fact, David openly calls himself “the laziest marketer on the planet.” He doesn’t wake up at 5 a.m. or preach hustle culture. Instead, he’s built a loyal following of people who love him because he’s brutally honest about his flaws.

He tells his audience upfront: “I’m not the guy who’s going to work around the clock for you. I take naps. I mess up. Sometimes I don’t reply to emails right away.”

You’d think this would drive people away, right? Wrong. His audience finds his honesty refreshing because it’s so rare in a world full of fake smiles and empty promises.

By owning his quirks and not pretending to be someone he’s not, David has built a fanbase of just a few hundred people—people who trust him so much they’ll buy anything he recommends. His imperfection makes him human, and his humanity makes him trustworthy.

You don’t need to be perfect to win in this game. You just need to be real.

The next time you’re creating a marketing piece, don’t obsess over trying to please everyone. Be honest about your flaws. Share your opinions—even if they’re unpopular. And above all, stop caring so much about what people think.

Not everyone will like you, and that’s okay. You don’t need everyone—you just need the right ones.

MINDSET MAKEOVER

It All Starts Here—Between Your Ears

If you’re struggling to get the results you want, chances are the problem isn’t your strategy—it’s your programming.

Think of your mind as a computer. Every day, the world uploads software into your subconscious without asking for permission. From the moment you wake up, you’re hit with a barrage of negative headlines, unsolicited opinions, and social media scrolling that feeds doubt into your system. It’s no wonder success feels like an uphill battle.

But here’s the good news: you can reprogram your mind.

The key is controlling what you feed your subconscious. Like a garden, it will grow whatever you plant—so you better make sure it’s not weeds. Instead of letting external noise dictate your thoughts, take charge of your mental inputs.

Start with this simple daily habit: replace distractions with transformation.

  • Driving to work? Listen to an audiobook by a personal development giant like Tony Robbins or Jim Rohn.

  • Hitting the gym? Queue up a podcast from someone living the life you want.

  • Before bed? Read a chapter of a book that inspires action instead of scrolling aimlessly on your phone.

Why does this matter so much? Because your subconscious mind runs the show. It influences your decisions, beliefs, and ability to persist in the face of challenges. What you put into your mind today will determine where you end up tomorrow.

Reprogramming doesn’t happen overnight. But when you consciously fill your mind with content that supports your growth—tools like audiobooks, positive courses, and success stories—you’ll notice a shift. You’ll think differently. You’ll act differently. And soon enough, your results will follow suit.

Remember: Success starts in the mind. Reprogram it wisely.
