FROM MY WORLD
My Chaotic Love Affair with Scarcity
There are times when you just can’t get off your butt and sign those damn papers. Or why do you suddenly get things done at the last possible moment?
Let me take you on a journey through my chaotic love affair with scarcity. The very same principle that turned Freud into a sales genius (without him even knowing it).
So here’s the story. I’m sitting in a coffee shop, trying to escape the monotony of my home office, when I start thinking about what makes people actually take action. Whether it’s signing up for a $49 course or investing thousands in a business opportunity, it always boils down to one thing: deadlines.
It’s not glamorous, but deadlines work. They turn procrastinators into action-takers faster than you can say “FOMO.”
And you know why? Because humans hate to lose out. If you don’t make them feel like they’re going to miss something important, they’ll drag their feet.
Case in point: I was supposed to hire a lawyer for a life-changing project. The lady quoted me the perfect price, and all I had to do was sign.
But guess what? No deadline. So I sat on those papers for 60 freakin’ days. Yup, two months of pointless procrastination.
It wasn’t until I mentally set a deadline—imagining the hell my life could become if I didn’t make a move—that I finally filled out the 12-page contract and got the deal done.
And that’s the kicker—scarcity forces us to act. Whether it’s a deadline or a ticking countdown timer, we need that nudge.
But here’s where it gets really wild: this isn’t just a sales tactic.
Freud himself used scarcity in his psychoanalysis treatments. When he set a fixed timeline for his patients, they miraculously recovered faster.
Coincidence? Hell no. It's the scarcity effect—our brain scrambling to solve a problem before time runs out.
And this is where you come in.
Want your prospects to buy? Want them to stop using lame excuses like “I’ll think about it” or “I have to talk to my wife”? Stomp on their greed glands—give them a reason to act NOW.
Whether it’s a disappearing bonus or a hard deadline, make them feel the pressure.
No pressure, no action. Period.
So the next time you’re wondering why people won’t jump at your offer, ask yourself this: what’s their deadline? How are you tapping into their fear of missing out? When you learn to play off this fear, you’ll not only close more deals—you’ll change the game.

MINDSET MAKEOVER
The Authority Shortcut
Most people in business are out there begging for sales—chasing prospects, hounding leads, and hoping someone will notice them.
But what if you flipped that? What if people started chasing you?
Authority is a game-changer. And the best part? You don’t need a fancy degree, 20 years of experience, or even an impressive resume to make it happen. You just need the right mindset—and a few key strategies to back it up.
Here’s how you do it:
Vision First, Skills Second
Most people get this backwards. They focus on learning all the “right skills” without first figuring out who they want to become. But if you want to attract people like a magnet, you need to see yourself as the authority first. Ask yourself: “How do I want to be known? When I walk into a room, how do I want people to describe me?”
If you can’t see yourself as an authority, no one else will.
Immerse Yourself in Your Field
You want to be seen as an expert? Then act like one. Read the books, take the courses, watch the videos, and attend the events. Dive so deep into your niche that you’re practically living it. When you immerse yourself, you stop feeling like an imposter and start thinking like an authority.
Create Content, Solve Problems
The fastest way to build authority? Create content that solves problems for your audience. It doesn’t matter if it’s blog posts, YouTube videos, or podcast episodes—just create. When people see you offering solutions, they’ll start to see you as the go-to person.
And here’s the kicker: when you have content to share, you don’t need to chase people down. You point them to your content, and boom—instant credibility.
Follow the ILT Formula: Invest, Learn, Teach
Here’s the trick to never running out of content ideas: ILT—Invest, Learn, Teach. Invest in yourself, learn something new, and then teach it to your audience. You don’t need to be the world’s biggest expert. You just need to be one step ahead of the person you’re helping.
Serve, Don’t Sell
Focus on serving your audience, not just selling to them. When you solve their problems, they’ll be more than happy to open their wallets. The real magic happens when you stop worrying about pitching and start thinking about how to make your audience’s life better.
That’s how you turn leads into raving fans—and how you go from nobody to authority.
It’s time to stop chasing and start attracting. Paint a vision of who you want to become, immerse yourself in your field, and create valuable content. When you do that, people won’t just want to work with you—they’ll be knocking down your door.
