FROM MY WORLD
S-Class Comfort, Porsche Speed, and a Rolls Royce Letdown
Last week, I did something I’ve always wanted to do.
I rented a Rolls Royce for three days while speaking at the Groove Mastermind. It was just me, Anastasia, and the Rolls—no kids, no distractions. We cruised, snapped photos, and lived the high life.
But here’s the twist: after driving it, I was underwhelmed.
Don’t get me wrong, the car is a masterpiece. It screams luxury. But I couldn’t help but feel… meh. Compared to my Porsche or even an S-Class Mercedes, the experience didn’t blow my mind.
It got me thinking: why do we chase certain things and then feel underwhelmed when we finally get them?
I’ve realized that a lot of what holds us back—or propels us forward—comes down to how we perceive ourselves.
For years, I dreamed about owning a Rolls, a Ferrari, or a Lambo. But now, even though I could walk into a dealership and buy one outright, I don’t feel the pull anymore.
It’s not about the money. It’s about what those things represent—and how my view of them has shifted.
For example, I’ll never fly coach again. Ever.
The first time I flew business class, it completely shattered my mindset. Suddenly, coach became unacceptable. Now, it doesn’t matter if it’s a quick flight from Toronto to Miami; I’m a business-class guy. Period.
This isn’t just about cars or flights. It’s about setting standards.
When you elevate your standards, the world starts bending to match them.
Entrepreneurs who lose it all and bounce back aren’t lucky—they’ve set a standard for themselves that says, I don’t accept less. And they fight like hell to get back to it.
Here’s my takeaway from the Rolls Royce experience:
Sometimes you’ve got to try things to figure out what aligns with your values, your goals, and your identity.
Renting that Rolls wasn’t a waste—it was a way to test the waters. And now? Maybe I’ll give a Bentley or an Aston Martin a shot. Why not?
Because growth isn’t just about hitting your goals. It’s about figuring out who you become along the way.

MINDSET MAKEOVER
The Day I Made $15K—and Hated Every Minute
Do you ever get a paycheck, look at the number, and think, “Nice!”—but then there’s this little voice in the back of your head whispering, "Yeah, but do you really feel good about how you earned it?"
That, my friend, is the crux of what I like to call Feel Good Money vs. Feel Bad Money.
Let me break it down:
There’s money that makes you proud. The kind where someone thanks you for introducing them to a tool that transforms their business. The kind where people email you saying, “Your advice changed my life!” It’s not just about the cash—it’s about the impact.
Then, there’s the other kind of money. The kind that makes you want to take a shower after cashing the check. Maybe it’s promoting something you don’t believe in or selling a solution you know won’t solve anyone’s problems.
I’ve been in this game long enough to see both sides. I could’ve promoted casinos, sports betting, or anything that feeds off addiction.
Big bucks in those niches—but every dollar earned feels dirty. It’s legal theft, plain and simple, and it’s just not my style.
Instead, I’ve built a life—and a business—on Feel Good Money.
And here’s the thing: It’s not just about avoiding the stuff that feels bad. It’s also about chasing the stuff that lights you up.
For me, that’s writing emails.
I’d write emails even if nobody paid me. It’s my therapy, my creative outlet, my thing. I get up every day excited to do it.
But I’ve also learned this: Just because something pays well doesn’t mean it’s worth your time.
I once got $15K for a single day of consulting.
Great payday, right?
Except the entire experience was soul-sucking. I spent hours with someone who ignored my advice and argued the whole time. No amount of money could make me say yes to doing that again.
And that’s the ultimate lesson: You’ve got to know yourself. What excites you? What drains you? What are your non-negotiables?
For me, freedom is non-negotiable. I’d rather walk away from a million-dollar opportunity than let someone box me in or tell me what to do.
So ask yourself: Are you chasing money that feels good—or money that feels bad? One will energize you and build a business you love. The other will burn you out faster than a midnight oil binge.
The choice is yours. Make it count.
