FROM MY WORLD

The Schmooze Factor

One time I was at an event with a friend of mine, Itay Paz, who’s been around the block in this industry. He gave me a piece of advice that completely flipped how I approach networking. He said, “Stop being so upfront and focus on the schmooze.”

Schmoozing? I had no clue what that even meant.

Where I come from, in Israel, everyone’s direct – no fluff, no BS. You ask for what you want and get straight to business.

So when I first started attending seminars and events, I was just hammering people with, “Hey, want to JV? Let’s do business.” I thought I was being efficient, but all I was doing was turning people off.

They say your network is your net worth, and for years I brushed that off.

I figured all I needed was the skill to drive traffic and get offers converting. Back then, I didn’t need a big network. It was just me, a small list, and paid ads.

But times have changed. My business has evolved, and one of the biggest game changers has been the power of joint venture partnerships and relationships.

I used to think building a network was about getting everyone to promote your stuff.

That’s the goal, right? But here’s what I found out – the more I focused on just "getting them to promote," the less effective I was.

It took me years and lots of expensive masterminds to realize the real key: it’s not about pushing your agenda; it’s about building real connections.

At the next event, I tried something different.

I didn’t talk about business at all. I just hung out, shared stories, had drinks, and cracked jokes.

And guess what? The less I talked about work, the more people wanted to work with me. It completely changed the game for me.

The reality is people want to do business with those they like and trust, and that doesn’t happen through pushing your agenda. It happens naturally when you build a real connection.

And here’s another tip: be yourself, but be the best version of yourself. You don’t have to agree with everything or pretend to be someone you’re not just to fit in. In fact, people respect you more when you stick to your values, even if you don’t see eye to eye.

Nobody likes a fake smile or forced politeness – they can spot that a mile away. The best connections I’ve made are with people who appreciate that I’m real, even if we have different views on some things.

One practical thing I started doing is simply smiling more. Sounds basic, but it works. I realized that I’m not naturally the most smiley guy – blame it on my Ukrainian roots – so I had to be intentional about it.

At the end of the day, networking isn’t just about who you know. It’s about how you make them feel when they’re around you.

You can go out there and meet a ton of people, but if you’re not connecting on a real level, it’s all for nothing. Focus less on pushing your agenda and more on being the person people want to be around – and watch how doors start opening.

LESSONS FROM LEGENDS

The $21.7 Billion Man

When it comes to marketing legends, few names carry as much weight as Jay Abraham. Known as the $21.7 billion man, Jay is a master at finding hidden profits in any business.

One of his most famous strategies is the power of exponential growth through what he calls the "Three Ways to Grow a Business."

Most entrepreneurs are stuck thinking in a straight line—they focus on just one way to boost their revenue. But Jay’s method combines three approaches to create bigger results:

  1. Increase the number of customers.

  2. Increase the average transaction value per customer.

  3. Increase the frequency of purchases from each customer.

Here’s why this works so well: By improving each area just slightly, you create massive results.

For example, if you improve each factor by just 30%, you don’t get a 30% increase in revenue—you get closer to a 100% increase.

Jay used this exact strategy to turn a small, struggling business into a multi-million dollar empire. Most people focus too much on getting new customers, but Jay teaches that boosting transaction value and purchase frequency can be just as effective—if not more.

The key takeaway? Stop chasing only new customers and start maximizing what you already have. When you optimize all three growth factors, you build a business that grows much faster than focusing on only one.

So, what’s your next move? Put these steps into action and watch the money flow. Your bank account is waiting.

MINDSET MAKEOVER

Quitting Is Not an Option

When you’re chasing big goals, it’s easy to feel like the world’s against you—especially when the people closest to you can’t see what you see.

There’s nothing more frustrating than having a vision and watching others dismiss it as a pipe dream.

The doubts and negativity can pile on, making you question everything. It’s no wonder many people give up when they face resistance like this.

But here’s the thing—if you’re serious about making your vision a reality, you can’t let the lack of support from others dictate your actions.

You have to hold onto your vision, even when everyone around you says you’re wasting your time. The voices of doubt, whether from family, friends, or society, will always be there, trying to pull you back into the comfort zone.

But success doesn’t live in the comfort zone.

When your back’s against the wall and everyone’s telling you to quit, that’s when the real game starts.

It’s easy to stay motivated when things are going well. But when everything’s falling apart and no one believes in you, that’s when you find out what you’re really made of

The key is to burn your bridges.

Make quitting not even an option. When you do that, you force yourself to find solutions, to keep pushing forward no matter what.

The moment you prove it works, the same people who doubted you will come around.

Suddenly, they’ll start asking you for advice or offering their help. But don’t wait for that validation. Keep moving forward, even in the dark, because the spotlight only comes after the grind.

Remember: The hardest battles are fought when no one’s watching, and that’s where success is born.
