FROM MY WORLD

The Power of Hitting Rock Bottom (And Bouncing Higher)

Most people think the road to success is a straight shot: hard work, some luck, and boom—you’re rich forever.

But if you dig a little deeper into the stories of self-made millionaires and billionaires, you'll notice a pattern that’s, well, downright terrifying: losing everything. Yeah, the kind of nightmare where your fortune crumbles like a sandcastle under a rogue wave.

Tony Robbins? The guru of motivation himself got blindsided when his business partner embezzled funds, leaving him buried under $700,000 in debt.

Donald Trump? Declared bankruptcy more times than most people change their car tires.

And Martha Stewart didn’t just serve cookies; she also served time—prison time—for insider trading. Yet she walked out, dusted herself off, and built her net worth back to $300 million.

Luck isn’t the glue that holds success together. Sure, a bit of it is nice to have, but the real secret sauce is behavior and decisions—the kind you grind out every single day.

It’s why people who’ve tasted success once have a higher chance of finding it again. They’ve built that muscle. They’ve done the reps.

This brings me to an uncomfortable truth I’ve discovered firsthand: Making money and keeping money are two completely different skill sets.

Trust me, I’m a pro at the first one but a certified disaster at the second. I mean, I’d sooner take investing advice from a goldfish than myself. So, I leave the investing to people who know better, hoping they don’t burn my hard-earned cash faster than I can make it.

Here’s what really blew my mind: If you’ve made serious money once, you’ve got a massive advantage. Your brain has felt that rush, seen the possibilities.

Your first big win? That’s always the hardest.

My own journey began in December 2010 with a simple $100 day. Just $100. But that was monumental for me. Before then, I couldn’t even imagine earning that much in a single day.

And once I shattered that ceiling, things changed. $100 days turned into $500, $1,000, even $15,000 days. My mind expanded with each success, because I proved to myself what was possible.

Now, I know that $100,000 days aren’t a fantasy—they’re a choice.

So, if you’ve hit rock bottom or worry that your best days are behind you, remember: It wasn’t luck the first time, and it won’t be luck the next time.

You did that. You built that. And you can do it again. It’s just a matter of taking ownership, recognizing your power, and applying what you already know.

Still feeling unsure? Watch Undercover Billionaire with Grant Cardone. They dropped him in a random city with $100 and a beat-up truck, and he still made a million bucks. No name, no fame, just grit and hustle.

So, don’t tell me you can’t do it.

MINDSET MAKEOVER

I Stopped Talking to the Universe and Started Taking Action

When I first started out, I was a die-hard believer in affirmations.

Yep, I used to sit down every night, pen in hand, and fill pages with lines like “I make $33.33 a day online, quickly and easily.”

That was my first goal. And let me tell you, I did it religiously. I have entire notebooks packed with that one affirmation, page after page, as if sheer repetition would magically turn it into my reality.

Here’s the funny thing, though: these days, I don’t buy into affirmations anymore.

Why? Because I realized that just chanting or writing “I’m a money magnet” won’t actually convince your brain to make it happen. It’s not some magic spell that bends the universe to your will. At least, not for me.

Instead, I learned to focus on something much more practical: creating opportunities and putting myself in environments where success has a real chance of showing up.

Think about it: you can shout about being a millionaire to the sky, but unless you’re actually doing something to make it happen, you’re just yelling at clouds.

I’m not saying mindset doesn’t matter—oh, it does. But it’s less about telling yourself things you don’t believe and more about aligning your actions with your goals.

Because, let’s face it, if you’ve got deep-seated beliefs about scarcity and you’re chanting affirmations about abundance, it’s like throwing peas at a wall. The wall’s not budging.

So what works better? Questions

Yep, questions are like kryptonite for limiting beliefs. Your brain can’t ignore a question—it’s wired to find answers. Instead of saying, “I make six figures a year,” try asking, “What are 10 reasons I’ll make six figures a year online?” Or even better, “Why can’t I afford not to make six figures?”

Suddenly, your brain shifts into gear. You start thinking of practical reasons and, more importantly, actionable steps.

The momentum builds. You convince yourself that it’s possible, that it’s necessary, and that it’s time to act. This little trick has saved me from my own procrastination more times than I’d like to admit.

A perfect example? When I was moving to Canada, I dragged my feet on that decision for months, with paperwork gathering dust on my desk. My mentor, a former Marine and self-development powerhouse, suggested I write down 100 reasons why I needed to make the move. I thought he was nuts, but I started anyway.

Ten reasons became twenty, then fifty, and finally I had 60 reasons staring back at me. Suddenly, all my excuses evaporated. I got the paperwork done and didn’t look back.

Sometimes, you’ve got to give your fear a bigger enemy. It’s not always about loving the destination; it’s about hating where you are enough to get moving.

Half of my reasons for leaving Israel weren’t about Canada’s promises but about things I couldn’t stand in Israel anymore. Fear of staying stagnant trumped fear of change.

So next time you’re tempted to chant those affirmations, try flipping the script. Ask questions that demand action. Make your brain work for you. It’s not just about believing—it’s about moving.
