FROM MY WORLD
If I Lost It All Tomorrow, Here’s What I’d Do
Every now and then, a wild thought hits me: Maybe I should sell this business and do something else.
I know it sounds crazy.
I’m good at what I do, I enjoy teaching it, and our spot in the marketplace is solid. It would feel downright stupid to walk away from something that’s profitable and making a real impact.
Plus, the way I was brought up, you don’t just abandon something that’s working. You stick with it.
But let’s play devil’s advocate for a second. What if I lost everything tomorrow? What if I couldn’t go back to doing what I do now?
I’ve thought about it, and I’d probably dive into one of two things: either starting an after-school program that teaches kids self-development and financial literacy in a way they love, or diving into the parenting niche, helping other parents navigate this wild ride of raising good, grounded kids.
But there’s a catch with that last idea—my kids are still young (they’re 10 and 4). How do I know I’ve even “succeeded” as a parent yet? It’s hard to gauge success when the finish line is decades away. Who knows if my kids will grow up to be happy, fulfilled, and balanced adults?
Parenting feels a lot like running a business in the early stages.
You’re constantly testing, tweaking, and figuring out what works. You double down on what gets results, ditch what doesn’t, and hope you’re heading in the right direction.
There's no clear blueprint for being an entrepreneurial parent.
How do you chase success when the goalposts keep moving? You hit $100, and soon you’re chasing $1,000. You hit $10k, and now you’re eyeing $50k. It never ends. Meanwhile, you’re trying to raise grounded kids without spoiling them along the way.
I see it all the time—kids growing up in households where they have everything handed to them, but they lack the drive or values to build something for themselves.
I’ve met entrepreneurs who’ve crushed it in business, only to watch their kids grow up aimless and unmotivated.
That thought haunts me.
It’s easy to get so consumed by work that you lose sight of the bigger picture—how to raise kids with the right mix of grit, values, and ambition in a world where they’re surrounded by abundance.
This whole topic is fascinating to me.
If I wasn’t running my business, I’d probably dive headfirst into figuring out how to solve this riddle. But for now, it’s something I think about in those quiet moments when the hustle slows down—if only for a minute.

LESSONS FROM LEGENDS
Charles Black’s 60,000 Subscribers Saved Him
One day, you're on top of the world. Your YouTube channel is a magnet for millions of views, and every video you drop sets the internet on fire.
The next day, it's all gone—vanished without a trace.
This was the brutal reality for Charles Black.
Charles ran a wildly popular YouTube channel, speaking directly to a very specific (and let’s be real, very male) audience—guys looking for “tips” to spice things up in the bedroom.
And when I say “wildly popular,” I’m talking millions of views on each video as soon as they hit the platform. Charles was living the online dream.
Then, without warning, YouTube pulled the plug.
No strikes, no explanations—just a sudden, total shutdown. One moment, Charles was riding high; the next, he was flooded with messages asking, “Dude, where’s your channel?”
But this story isn’t just about the sudden loss of a YouTube channel. It’s a cautionary tale that every marketer needs to take to heart:
It’s not about if you’ll get banned. It’s about when.
We live in a world where the platforms we rely on—YouTube, Facebook, even Google—can yank the rug out from under us anytime they feel like it.
And when that happens, most people are screwed because they’ve put all their trust in platforms they don’t own.
But Charles was smart. He had built an email list of 60,000 subscribers.
So when YouTube did what YouTube does, he wasn’t left high and dry. He leaned into his list, ramped up his email game, and kept the sales flowing.
Yeah, it stung to lose that channel, but his business didn’t crash and burn because he had the one thing that no Big Tech algorithm can take away—control over his own audience.
Platforms will fail you, but your list never will—if you keep nurturing it.
You can always create another account, switch to a new service, or find a way to bypass the roadblocks.
But you can’t rebuild an audience from scratch as easily. So if you’re not laser-focused on building and protecting your list, you’re dancing on the edge of a cliff.
Because when the ban hammer comes down—and trust me, it will—that list is your parachute.
MINDSET MAKEOVER
It Took Me a Painfully Long Time To Accept This Reality …
We all like to think we’re logical creatures, right? We analyze, make calculated decisions, and march forward. But here’s the hard truth: your stubborn beliefs are probably dragging you down more than you realize.
Take it from me—I spent years clinging to ideas that seemed “right” but were actually dead wrong.
And those outdated beliefs cost me big.
For instance, I used to scoff at the idea of paying for traffic. It felt risky, and I convinced myself that “free” traffic was safer.
So I kept grinding out content, hoping the leads would trickle in.
Spoiler alert: they didn’t.
Meanwhile, those who were crushing it? They were all using paid traffic.
It took me a painfully long time to accept the reality that leads cost money—and that’s okay.
Once I embraced that idea, my business took off.
The delay wasn’t due to a lack of information. It was my own mindset resisting change. My brain rejected ideas that contradicted what I was comfortable with.
I kept saying no to strategies that could have got me forward because they didn’t “fit” with my current worldview.
We all do this, whether we realize it or not. It’s why some people take years to succeed—they’re too busy defending their old beliefs instead of embracing new ideas that might feel uncomfortable at first.
Success often depends on your ability to adopt a new mindset that might seem completely unnatural at first.
The moment I stopped fighting reality and accepted new ways of thinking, everything changed.
Paid traffic went from being “too risky” to being the very engine driving my growth. I had to get out of my own way, plain and simple.
So, If you find yourself constantly pushing against an idea that contradicts what you believe, it’s probably time to take a closer look. The breakthrough you’re waiting for might just be on the other side of the belief you’re clinging to the hardest.
