FROM MY WORLD

The Uniform Didn't Fit

My father was an officer in the Soviet Army, having graduated from one of those prestigious academies that funneled young men into the ranks like sausages into a casing.

When we moved to Israel, I found myself on a similar path, attending a military academy where discipline and obedience were drilled into us daily.

It was like being in a cult, but with better uniforms.

For years, I was the perfect soldier. I followed every rule, wore my uniform with pride, and never questioned the life laid out before me.

But everything changed when I stumbled upon Robert Kiyosaki's Rich Dad Poor Dad

Suddenly, the future I had been trained for—the one my parents believed was secure and stable—didn't seem like my future at all.

It was their dream, not mine.

It was like realizing I'd been preparing for a role in a play I didn't even audition for.

That realization hit me hard.

I didn’t want to spend my life in a system that wasn’t built for me. The military, I discovered, was less about valor and more about maintaining a giant bureaucratic machine. And I didn’t fit into it anymore.

It was like trying to fit a square peg into a round hole, except the hole was actively trying to reshape you.

When I rebelled, I did it with everything I had.

I made myself a misfit on purpose—ignoring orders, refusing to conform, and eventually finding my way out through a series of psychiatric assessments.

It was hard, but I did it.

It was like escaping from a maximum-security prison, except the guards were all wearing the same uniform as you.

Getting out wasn’t easy. The system is designed to keep you in, and anyone who tries to leave is met with resistance at every turn.

But I knew I couldn't continue on a path that wasn’t mine. But I had to find my own path, even if it meant upsetting my parents and losing friends.

It was like jumping off a cliff and hoping I'd learn to fly on the way down. I had no choice—I had to fly. There was no other option.

This taught me that Freedom is worth fighting for. I realized that I do best when I’m free, not stuck in someone else’s rules.

Looking back, I don’t regret anything.

The discipline I learned in the military still helps me today, but now, I’m in control. I’m the one calling the shots in my life, and that’s a kind of win no uniform or rank can give you.

It’s like winning a battle with yourself, and the prize is your own life.

LESSONS FROM LEGENDS

Do It Like Trump

Love him or hate him, Donald Trump knows how to make a deal.

His book, The Art of the Deal became a bestseller for a reason—it offers a peek into the mind of a man who has made some of the biggest business deals in history.

But beyond the headlines and controversy, there are valuable lessons to be learned from Trump’s approach to business.

1. Think Big, Act Bigger
Trump’s entire career has been about going big. He doesn’t just aim for success—he aims for monumental success. His philosophy is simple: if you’re going to do something, do it on a grand scale.

2. Embrace Controversy
Trump never shies away from controversy—in fact, he often seeks it out. He uses controversy to his advantage. Controversy grabs attention, and in business, attention is everything.

3. Negotiate Like a Pro
One of Trump’s key strategies is to always start with an extreme position. By setting the bar high (or low), he creates room to negotiate while still getting what he wants.

4. Leverage Your Brand
Trump’s name is more than just a name—it’s a brand. He understands the power of personal branding and uses it to his advantage in every deal. Building a strong personal brand can be a powerful tool in any business.

5. Know When to Walk Away
Trump isn’t afraid to walk away from deals that don’t meet his standards. Sometimes, the best move is to stand your ground and wait for a better opportunity and not settle for less than what you’re worth..

While Trump’s style isn’t for everyone, there’s no denying that his strategies have led to enormous success.

Whether you’re negotiating a business deal, building your brand, or planning your next big move, there’s a lot to be learned from the way Trump plays the game.

MINDSET MAKEOVER

When It Hurts the Most…

Pain. It’s not something we usually talk about when discussing success, but it’s often the driving force behind it.

You see, most people think success is about motivation, about getting excited about what you want to achieve. But in reality, it’s often the pain—the fear of failure, the fear of letting your loved ones down—that pushes you to take action.

I’ve seen this firsthand with my coaching clients. The ones who succeed the most aren’t the ones who are just motivated; they’re the ones who are hurting. They’re facing financial ruin, about to lose their jobs, or have a baby on the way.

When the pain gets real, they don’t sit around making excuses. They hustle. They do whatever it takes to get results because they can’t afford not to.

That’s why, when I was coaching, I made sure to dig into that pain.

I’d spend extra time on calls focusing on what my clients were going through, rubbing salt into their wounds, so to speak.

It might sound harsh, but it worked.

It doubled my conversion rates and, more importantly, it got my clients to act.

They stopped procrastinating, built their funnels, wrote their emails, and did things they never thought they could do—all because they felt the pain and wanted to make it stop.

This isn’t just about sales tactics; it’s about understanding what really drives people.

Pain is a powerful motivator. If you can tap into that, whether it’s in yourself or in others, you’ll find a way to push through challenges and achieve things you never thought possible.

So, don’t shy away from the pain.

Ask yourself: What’s the pain in my life that I’ve been ignoring? Use it to fuel your next big move. Don't wait for the pain to fade. Embrace it, and let it drive you to the success you’ve been dreaming about. What will you do today to turn your pain into power?
