 People often ask me, "Igor, what made you become so disciplined and consistent? How did you go from being a regular guy to a self-made millionaire who’s fit, confident, and successful?"

It wasn’t always this way. 

There was a time when I was stuck, battling self-doubt and wasting my days gaming and mindlessly browsing the internet. But one random night, something clicked. 

I stumbled across a video about The Secret—you know, that infamous movie that claimed to have the key to success, known by the likes of Da Vinci, Emerson, and other historical giants. I watched it, and like millions of others, I believed I had discovered the shortcut to greatness. 

I thought if I just focused on the positive long enough, success would come knocking on my door.

Spoiler alert: it didn’t. 

I was still the same guy, stuck in the same rut, but with a glimmer of hope that maybe—just maybe—I could change.

That glimmer kept me searching, and eventually, I came across the name Tony Robbins. 

I wasn’t ready to shell out cash for self-help programs, so I did what any resourceful teenager in the early 2000s would do—I hit up Pirate Bay. 

I downloaded Tony’s Personal Power II and started listening.

One exercise, the Dickens Process, hit me like a ton of bricks. It forced me to face the brutal reality of where my life was headed if I didn’t change. 

I was fat, unhappy, and trapped in a cycle of self-loathing. Tony had me imagine what life would look like if I didn’t fix this—10, 20 years down the line. 

It wasn’t pretty. That exercise shook me to my core, and I knew I couldn’t keep living like this.

I started small. I cut out soda, sugar, and junk food. I started jogging. The weight came off, and with it, the self-hate. I looked in the mirror, and for the first time, I didn’t cringe. 

I saw someone who was finally taking control.

As the pounds dropped, my confidence grew. I became more social, started going out, and even got my first girlfriend. 

I realized that by changing my physical self, I was also transforming my mindset. That was the start of my journey—not just to lose weight, but to reshape my entire life.

Discipline, consistency, success—it all started with that one decision to stop being a victim of my circumstances and take control of my future.

But here’s the thing—this isn’t just about closing deals. It’s about becoming a better human being. Listening makes you a better partner, a better friend, and yes, a better marketer. 

So, whether it’s with your spouse or your next potential client, remember this: ask questions, shut up, and listen. It’s the simplest, most powerful way to get what you want in life.
